Discover the Desert: 10 Must-Do Things for Teenagers in Phoenix, Arizona

By Dr. Joseph Kashiwagi

Parents want their children to have fun and learn skills that prepare them for the future but end up signing their children up for boring lectures, lame tours, or scary adventures. Teenagers want to have something to do that is fun, enjoyable, and allows them to be themselves. When a student is having fun, they will learn faster and remember the information being taught. There aren’t a lot of activities that create this environment for students.  There needs to be a balance of fun and teaching going on for a teenager to want to go to a program! So, that’s why we wanted to share 10 things to do in Phoenix for parents and their children.

It is a misconception of parents that teenagers don’t want to learn. They do want to learn but they want to do it in their own way. In the age of technology which we live in, students want things to be entertaining, and don’t want to be controlled to do things. This can lead to parents feeling a little hopeless in trying to find the right activities for their teenagers to have fun. There is hope for parents because there are programs that can do exactly what you would hope for but they can be hard to find!

We want to help parents find opportunities for students while they are in Arizona that would be beneficial for their child.
